  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Ok MOE! Where did you get the Halo's for the Genny?

Thank you Sir!

they are basically just LED rings, you just have to know the diameter for whatever lights you want em in

Wow that's a lot of lights. Kind of reminds me of those old 18 wheelers decked with running lights...

At any rate, you can buy LED rings and strips to put into headlight assemblies assuming you can get them apart.

sweet halo's. i would do that but can't go that blue. what process did you use to open up the housing?...

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
basically you have to heat up your housing unit to soften up the seals & then the cover will seperate & allow you to install the LEDS then once you are done you have to heat em back up press em together & seal em back up & then you can always add an extra seal on caulking if need be

i did the same thing with my frontier headlights to clear out the amber reflector. hopefully the genesis headlights will fit in my oven too. i want to mainly paint the housing black but maybe might try the halos too...

well i can tell you unless you have a huge over like at the pizza shop it wont fit i had to place it in there with the door open at 250 degrees then 10 minutes later turn it around for another 10 minutes then once i removed it i used my heat gun to keep it warmed

once i can get my hands on the parts list or a part # for the parts on the Equus i will know if i can replace my headlights in the genesis with the one from the Equus the wiring might be different but thats the least of my problems

Those look very nice!

I've been researching around to find lights like the Audies. Those LED strips. Can't find anything....

I would love to do something like what you have on here but am too chicken $hit to do the manual work being afraid of damaging the headlights.

If there were only instructions... :-)

LOVE your Thunderbird!
Those halo rings are very nice. Just a little too blue for my taste.
Ice white halos would look very nice on my silver Genny.
Nice work!

Dan

I'm bumping this because I love how the OP (MADDMOE) did his headlights. Wish I could see more examples of this.

(MADDMOE clear your pm storage so we can talk! lol)

lol whats up i didnt even know my PM box was full, i just emptied it

Those lights do look bad-ass but I'd be too chicken to try it. Do you have any problems with the AFLS with the LED's attached?
