  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis Model Type
Genesis G80
My closest Hyundai dealer will not be selling Genesis. He claims he will be forced to basically build an entirely new showroom. He, and probably everyone else are doing well just selling Hyundai.
I made some phone calls and it seems the only dealer that is certain that they will sell Genesis is 150 miles away in Los Angeles, and they still don't know when they're coming in. I want my G70.
I understand the marketing concept of trying to brand Genesis as the new Lexus but if there is so few dealers , how many cars will they sell? I live on central coast California and I doubt the hundreds of thousands of people between San Luis Obispo and Ventura (this includes the highly affluent population of Santa Barbara ) are going to drive to Los Angeles to buy a car. And who is going to perform maintenance on a Genesis around here?

You are just going to have to wait a bit and see how things shake out. At this point in time, there is no reliable information as to who will be a Genesis dealer in California. If I had to guess, based on how other states are going, there will be enough dealers to cover the state.

Evidently the sales they are seeing must be what they expected since they lowered the lease incentives for January. I guess we will see how things are going forward whether that holds or not.

Yes, it’s a FUBAR situation. Makes no sense, does it!?

When you don’t know all the facts, things don’t seem to make sense. It may be understood in hindsight.
