  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I just noticed on Hyundai's Canadian web site the lease rate of the 2009 Genesis got lowered to 2.6% from 3.9% for a 48 month lease but the monthly payment actually gone up by $55.00/month. If the rate is heading south but the payment is heading north that can only mean one thing - The residual value of the Genesis is dropping. My quick (could be wrong) calculation show a drop of $4000.00.
Anyone notice this on the US web site or confirm the dropping of residual value through other sources?

Naturally, 2009 models will drop in residual before the 2010s come out. I do not have a current number at this time, but in May it was 45/46% for a V8 Tech for a 36 month lease here in the states.
