  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi everyone,

My name is Chris, and I am the manager at the newly-opened Genesis Mississauga Boutique. We are located in Square One mall in Mississauga, Ontario, on the western edge of Toronto. Like many of you, I am a car enthusiast, and continue to be extremely impressed by the quality, content, and performance of Genesis vehicles. In fact, it's why I specifically chose the brand, myself!

As many of you are no doubt aware, Genesis has a number of exciting new vehicles in the pipeline, with the G70 performance luxury sedan due to be released this month! I have experienced the car in person and I'm here to confirm all of the positive news and hype you've been hearing. This car is set to be a true game-changer for our brand. I am absolutely blown away by the level of craftsmanship, as well as the degree of performance that's on tap. And of course, like any of our vehicles, all G70 models will come with a full five-year/100,000km comprehensive warranty, five years of complimentary maintenance, and the complete Genesis at Home ownership experience. This bespoke customer service plan is rewriting the ownership experience in the premium car segment. As an owner, you, and your time, are valued above all else. From your first experience drive, where we bring the model of your choice to your home or office, right through to your vehicle being picked up whenever it requires maintenance - while we leave you another comparable Genesis vehicle - you will always be our highest priority.

My goal is to introduce myself and speak with as many of you as possible in the days and months ahead. I am eager to answer whatever questions you might have about our brand and vehicles, specifically the new G70. I encourage you to speak with me directly, or to visit our boutique at your convenience if you'd like to experience any of our models in person. We will have our own G70 display and demo models within a week, so it's a very exciting time for us. Be sure to come have a look!

Our website address is https://www.genesismississauga.ca/ should you wish to explore any of our models online.

I look forward to sharing in your community!

Warm regards,

Chris Lyons

Hi Chris. ;)

Chris, will the G70 really come with "five years of complimentary maintenance"?

He is in Canada. Warranties, complementary maintenance, etc are not necessary the same in Canada as in the USA. Warranties are definitely different.

Hi Chris. ;)

DJ, I presume? :D

How's life out west these days?

Yes, up here in Canada, it's 5 year/100k km warranty and 5 years complimentary maintenance. We pick up your car, service it, and leave you with a comparable Genesis model while doing so.

Yup! :)

Life is great. Just chaotic with G70 madness and with the incoming launch of our new boutique store in 3 weeks but that's a good thing! How are things for you?

That's great about your new boutique. Lots of action at our place, and with G70 coming next week, business is only going to pick up. Quite a few people looking to pre-order for that front of line access for test drives, and the 1.9% rates.

Thanks for six different posts saying the same thing. So, you are a car salesman who just wants to get to know us?

I guess you're referring to the fact that I posted in each of the vehicle forums? I considered whether that was appropriate prior to posting, but decided there might be Genesis owners who only post in one particular forum (ie. G70, G80), and I hoped to reach owners of all of our vehicles.

I am actually not a salesman - I manage the boutique. And yes, I am an enthusiast of the brand, as well as cars in general, like many of you. My goal is to be a resource for interested members, to chat about the cars, share my own passion, answer questions when possible, and invite interested members to visit our new location.

I hope that clears things up.

Yep, still selling. Many of us just click "new posts" so we see everything. As manager, your main function is to get cars sold. No matter how companies twist the job title, we still know the most important goal.

I mean, not a crime to want to sell your brands products.

Not at all, but there is a time and place to be professional. Just like insurance sales people prey on family and friends, there is a line that should not be crossed.

What's a "boutique"? A euphemism for car dealership? Or, like it sounds, just its department that sells shirts and caps and stuff?

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!

A small store, typically in a shopping mall, that has one or a few cars in it. and nothing else. Service is performed elsewhere. This is the way most cars are sold in Asia and some other parts of the world.

Aha! Thanks!

I'm thinking it's a tug n' rub behind the Service Center. Just jokin.

PMCErny and Edp, you guys are evil. Why are you attacking the salesman he is doing his job to make living just like everyone else. Are you guys in Genesis car forum or not?? If he is really breaking the rules the admin in this forum would stop him. Behave yourselves. How do you like it if someone comes to kick you out because you can't find a place to sleep and eat because you don't have money? Don't go policing the forum it is not your concern.

Not evil, honest.
His job is to sell cars. There are right and wrong ways to do it. The right way here is to become a paid advertiser. He can buy ads, he can at least become a supporting member.

This is a worldwide forum and he is just a local guy in one town in Canada. Far off from his target market, but taking advantage of free publicity. If it was a simple introduction, not so bad, but it was a group of posts to a forum that he does no know hot it works, I've participated in many forums on many topics and when someone comes it to try to sell stuff they are seen as obnoxious intruders. If they use a simple tag line or sometimes mention their position, they can be a very welcome addition, such as Mr. Nance, a great benefit here. We know how to get to him if needed.

I did not suggest kicking him out. I did state my opinions, as I do on many subjects. I doubt he is going to be homeless because of my comments not become very wealthy from sales made here. I do chuckle at your comment though. You don't want me to police the forum, you you are trying to police me and PMCErny. That's OK, I don't take offense, you can have an opinion and disagree with me.
