  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Dear Lord, where to start...

Dated interior, dusty, unclean.
Ripped seats
Stained seats
Bathrooms were unclean, both days I was there, and smelled of urine
They couldn't get the computers to work, so everything was done on paper
Got my address wrong, quoted the wrong tax rate twice
Photocopied my license four times due to lost paperwork
Deactivated one of my keys by accident in the service bay, didn't have any techs on hand who could fix it

The grand finale:

Every car has a price rider on the MSRP sheet for an additional $3k worth of dealer-installed extras
Didn't know what APR Genesis Finance was running
I had Circle-A pricing and a spreadsheet, knew the VIN I was purchasing and the price and financing but they still played Four Squares with me, despite me telling them explicitly not to do that
Even with Circle-A, they tried to slide $1200 of profit in under "document prep", with the line items of Window Vin Etching and Nitrogen Tire Fill

The sales manager leaves a trail behind when he moves.

It is dealers like them that will delay Genesis from being considered a luxury brand in the eyes of many people. Hopefully they, and those like them, won't be a dealer for too much longer.

I think you are mistaken. What you wrote is about Slimy Sharkey's Good Used Cars. Make sure for $1200 you get the premium grade nitrogen.
I can't imagine any dealer in 2020 having a crap shop like that. Your are in the lead for the worst dealer contest.

I bought my G70 from the same dealership just six months ago. I didn't experience any of the bad points you mentioned.
While the sale wasn't stellar, they seemed no better or worse than any other dealership I have dealt with. (and I have dealt with many)
My lease was up on a 2017 G90 and they gave me $5000 above the payoff value because of low mileage . I also used Circle A pricing and walked out of there with a deal that I was happy with. There was no markup on the car above MSRP. The doc fee was $125.
A week later I realized that the window sticker said a First Aid kit was to be included, but it wasn't. I sent an email and they sent me a First Aid kit in the mail.
I can't be sure if my experience or your experience with this dealer is typical, but I would have no problem dealing with them again.

My office is very close to that dealer and I go to lunch at Pho Now in the next shopping center regularly. I can not make much comment on your experience as I have never set foot in the place. Granted I knew from viewing the web inventory that they did not have a car that we were interested in, but the fact that it is so local and I have never stopped by tells you how much roadside appeal the place has.

We bought from Genesis of West Chester and actually never visited another dealer since we test drove there, they agreed to honor Circle A, and get the car we wanted from another dealer (Hyundai site showed 4 in the region & we said any of the 4 would be fine). I will write a review in the appropriate place, but we remain happy with the staff we have met. Since we went to FL for 9 days right after we bought the car it has spent the majority of our ownership time in the garage. I was there today and they swapped wheels so the car now has winter tires on, and I came away with a favorable impression on the service advisor I met (Tommy).
