  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis past 150,000 miles??

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I am at 204089 miles and still running. Only have done routine maintenance
213k here...
engine mounted Fuel Pump is now leaking (smell gas after driving and can see the wet protective sponge on top). Just found one in a low mileage Azera will be installing it. Dealer wanted $700 for part and another diagnosis + install fee!!!$$$ Stealership at best. Why diagnosis and I literally told you what it is!!!

Dealerships will always do their own diagnostics regardless if you know the reason for the breakdown and bill you for it.

Not bad overall. 213k miles and only need a high pressure fuel pump. Damn good engine. .

However, those pumps are pricey. Even used they cost about $200 on Ebay.

I got one from eBAY for $85! It is sitting here waiting on the weather to get better. :) Thank you for searching for me.

Good evening,

How far have some of you taken your Genesis so far? Anybody pass the 150k mark? 200k mark? Further????

Any major issues along the way?

Thanks!
My 2009 runs fine with 140K. Changed brakes after 80K, but had a few issues with the Centrex after that (painted calipers/added Genny logo). To do it again I'd go to a higher quality dual piston. Something in the OEM ones made them super great. NAV restarts every 3 hour + drive. Lost backup camera and let it die. Changed expansion exhaust pipe segments @135K (ebay and cheap - but car does not have long life...maybe?). Some rust growing slow in one wheel well, frequently clean out/bondo/spray. One seat heater element in driver seat died. Great car. With C19 I keep driving. Didn't like newer ones without Carplay. Like the 2021 though.

Traded our 2011 Genesis 4.6 after driving it over 220,000 miles. Best car we have ever owned and that includes Mercedes, BMW, Toyota, Acura and a dog Oldsmobile.
2011 4.6 was a classic you should have never traded that It's like a souvenir You should have kept it for memories Lol

LOL! It is the truth. I installed the PUMP + my sparkplug (Denso Ruthenium which are SUPERIOR in my book)
no issues - 214800 MILES on the clock!!

I will also use the Denso Ruthenium tipped spark plugs as well when I change my 5.0 plugs. I read good things about them in the Toyota and Nissan forums. Stronger spark and longer service life than Iridium tipped plugs is what I read about them.
