  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I am looking to pick up the Genesis 2.0T Premium package (with the sun roof) preferably from a Southern California dealership in the next few days.

Before I pick it up though, I am looking to find out what a damn good deal for this car would be so I can go after that pricing for it. Basically, I'm looking for these things in the car:

1. Black or Blue
2. Automatic Transmission
3. 2.0T Premium Package (With Navigation/Sun Roof)
4. Financing the car for about 5-6 years

-----

What price should I pay and what would be a damn good deal to walk away with?

-----

Also willing to buy the 2.0T basic if I can get a great deal on that so mention to me what your deals on those cars have been also.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
MSRP price out the door is about right. Or invoice plus 1,500. Aim around that.

You want a good deal go buy a Camaro or Mustang. Hyundai dealers just don't deal when it comes to the coupe.

I just bought my 2012 Gen.coupe yesterday. I worked with four dealerships and one "auto mall". I found that some were willing to work the price and others were not.

By far the number one tool that I found useful was true car:
www.truecar.com

I find it hard to believe most people do not know about them yet. Bottom line it gives you a starting point, lets you see dealer pricing, and what has been paid by others. When I walked in with all that info, and all my other research, the dealers knew whom they were dealing with. It made it easier for both of us.

Note: truecr does not include tax/tag/tittle and any extra dealer fees. Figure on adding about 2K for all this plus or minus.

MSRP for a 2.0T Prem = 27,600 (2011-10-07)
Truecar pricing for same = 25,711 (below invoice)

There is so much info to really know about the cost, options, fees, etc... It can be overwhelming. There is room to negotiate, you just have to have your ducks in a row, and know about all the tricks, fees, options, and pricing.

Good hunting!
