I hope this is the right spot to share this important recall, as there used to be news/tsb section, so here we go:
Hyundai has issued a major recall affecting 83,877 Genesis vehicles from the 2025–2026 model years due to a software defect that can cause the instrument cluster to intermittently reboot and go completely blank for 5–10 seconds while driving. This temporarily removes critical information such as speed, warnings, and gauges, creating a potential safety risk.
Affected Models
• 2025–2026 Genesis G80
• 2026 G80 Electrified
• 2026 GV60
• 2026 GV70
• 2026 GV70 Electrified
• 2025–2026 GV80
Cause
A software conflict in the head unit allows HD radio and analog radio data to overwrite the same memory location, triggering a reboot of the display.
What Owners Should Do As A Work Around
• Disable HD Radio until the fix is available.
• A software update (dealer or OTA) is expected mid‑March.
• Owners can check their VIN at NHTSA.gov for recall status.
Good News
Hyundai reports no crashes related to the issue so far.
