  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Evening All,

I wanted to know if any of y’all has taken your Genny’s out on an extended road trip? I’m talking like 200 miles or more...... How did it perform on the highway? Let me know.....

I have done many road trips with the Genesis. I posted my experience a while back on this thread.

Overall Genesis, performed excellent, and was very comfortable. Suspension handled the roads great, no matter smooth or a concrete section 50 miles plus with expansion joints every 10 feet or potholes. Love the seats. I find the most comfortable setting on the driver seat for me is to have everything deflated, with no lumbar support etc

My wife and I recently returned from a trip to Northern Calif. (Redding, dwn Hwy #1 to San Rafael and then home to Western Ne.) Drove just over 2600 miles. We have an 09, 3.8 with premium having 52,000 on the clock. The trip was easy and the gen performed to perfection. The only dwn side to the trip was the weather. We drove into 45 to 55 mph wind for two days while on the West bound leg. The hwy signs on I-80 in Wyo were advising trucks with empty trailers not to travel. Even in this wind the car was quiet and we were not "beat" after driving in the wind. We run 75 to 80 mph when on an interstate. I have lost track of the number of trips we have taken of 450 to 500 miles one way. We really enjoy using her on road trips. Hope this helps
Ron

Does this qualify?

+2,500 miles, ~40 hrs.

Drove fine. :) Gas mileage sucked, but other than that...
