We thought that the Genesis G80 for the U.S. was going to miss out on a new Sport model with a new 3.3L Biturbo V6. How wrong we were.
Genesis has revealed the 2018 G80 3.3T Sport at the Los Angeles Auto Show today. Providing a middle ground between the 3.8L V6 and 5.0L V8, the 3.3T produces 365 horsepower and 376 pound-feet of torque. This is paired with a retuned eight-speed automatic transmission to deliver a sporting edge. The Sport will offer the choice of rear or all-wheel drive. Other mechanical changes for the Sport includes a continuous damping control system for the suspension to improve ride and handling characteristics, and larger rear brakes with ventilated discs.
