  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis-Specific Rubber Floor Mats?

My Dealer just called to inform me that Hyundai is now selling all weather matts made for the Genesis, the front set was 68$ and change the back set was about 50$

Edit: I also called WeatherTech and they DO NOT have custom fit rubber floor mats for the Genesis. They give you a close match, but nothing custom.[/QUOTE]

iooo

I bought a set of Hexomat winter floor mats from Auto Anything, and they look pretty nice. They are sized specifically to the Genesis.
Unfortunately they have a really strong odor, and we have been airing them out now for two weeks in the garage and they still stink. Will probably have to return them. They smell like skunk. Just can't put them in the car smelling like that.
Has anyone found anything else yet that works? I had a set of Husky Liners in my old Sienna and they were great. But looks like they are not yet available for the Genesis.
I had Hexomats in my Azera for 4 years with never a trace of odor, and I put a set in my Genesis - likewise, no problem with odor, and I really like them. They are sort of plain and utilitarian, but I think they look great in the car, and since I haul a lot of yard materials (mulch, soil, LeafGro, you name it) in the spring and summer, the trunk Hexomat is a real carpet saver.

My dealer also has them for the Genesis, including the all weather trunk mat with the Genesis logo.

I just bought a single black rubber mat from wal mart of $8.88 and cut it to fit. Looks bangin' and does the job. Black carpets and black carpet mats get dirty to quickly so now I'm using clear rubber mats for winter and black rubber mats for summer.

Weathertech.com is planning to come out with some mats and cargo tray for the Genesis.

Weathertech makes the best floormats you can put in a vehicle. I have them in my Pilot.

Please bug them and tell them to hurry up. I think the prodding from all angles will make them follow through and release them sooner.

I've been bugging them for months. Go to their website and their is a place to make a request for a product.

The product is Digital Fit Floor Liners. Floor liners doesn't sound that hot but they are amazing. They are a custom fit (computer measured fit) liner that is more like a rubber tray that looks sexy and holds in ALL of the water and ALL of the dirt.

Because it is a digital custom fit, it literally blends right in with the floor of your car.

Mark my words, you will love them.

Now go pester them. I can't wait any longer.

I'm confused, doesn't this show what you are talking about?

I bought the factory rubber mats and the trunk mat. Fit is perfect.

No. These are nice floor mats for sure. But the product I am talking about is a laser cut "perfect" fit floor liner (they call it a liner, because it has lips on the side that hold in dirt and water). What you've linked is simply a nice mat.

And in response to user below who says the factory mat "fits perfect", I'd say nice fit but not "perfect". Perfect would mean no product fits better. And with the Weathertech mats fitting better, the factory mats by definition are not perfect.

Just my opinion. But I'd suggest you check them out if you are as high maintenance as I am.
