  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Galvanized by the success of sales in the first half of 2019, and the above significant third party accolades, Genesis Motor America and Genesis Finance will offer a limited-time, national Genesis Summer Sales Event across the Genesis vehicle lineup. Beginning Monday, July 29, and running through September 3, customers can lease a Genesis for three years with no money due at signing, no security deposit, and no first payment. More information about the lease program details and featured rates can be found at Genesis.com and local retailers.

Looks like this is for the 2.0T only, is that right?

Nah...all Genesis. If you go to each car on the website...the financial numbers graphically roll down to zero.

Don't manufacturers it do this if they are slumping?
But then again they could be trying to penetrate the market like what Mazda was doing a while back with 0%.

"the financial numbers graphically roll down to zero" huh??
Seems like the only perk of this special is "no first payment" and "no money down", right?

Seems like they've all done it at one time or another. If Lamborghini has a promo at $399 a month I'm going to grab one.

@Beefer "graphical roll down to zero" I know what you mean now... found it, thanx! No first payment is the best benefit. Have not heard of a security deposit on a G70 lease, thought you could always do a '0 due at signing' deal if you rolled fees and tax into the lease. Still the waived payment is worth several hundred $, nice! (y)

Probably trying to penetrate the market, and also could be that they're trying to move the existing 2019s to prepare for the 2020s coming ...

I was looking at most likely purchasing/leasing mine this month. Is there anywhere that lists the fine print?

Won't matter much if Genesis doesn't have an advertising push to go along w/ this program.

The model that needs this push is the G70 (yes, it's the best seller of the 3, but sales have declined the past 2 months).

But even this may not be able to overcome the cramped rear.

In this months' incentives there is a separate line item for this Summer Sale and the bonus cash is called "Zero Down Lease Cash". The line item for typical lease bonus cash is called "Special Lease Cash". Does anyone know the difference? I'm assuming the zero down option may have a higher MF and the special option is the low subsidized MF? If that's the case, this Summer Sale promo with first payment waived may just be a wash considering the higher MF.

I thought zero down offers were just moving what you would normally pay at the start of a lease into your lease payments, sorta like having a lower down payment. But if there's "Zero down Lease Cash", does that mean the bonus cash pays off any initial down payment you would have to spend, like taxes, title, and fees?

If we could combine the zero down cash and the normal lease cash, that would be insane. I doubt it, but it would be great.

Sounds like they are just moving the money around. Special lease cash looks like they take $x off the sticker while the zero down they take the cash off the required down payment. In the end, it is "pay here to get your free lunch."
