  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hyundai drives to Super Bowl 2009

The Hyundai GenesisHyundai recently bought a 30-second ad spot in one of the most prized sports events in the United States: the NFL Super Bowl. In the upcoming 2009 Super Bowl, the South Korean auto maker will use the 30-second ad spot to promote the Hyundai Genesis (the company’s latest luxury sedan).

Incidentally, Hyundai will transfer its advertising duties from Goodby, Silverstein & Partners to World Marketing Group. However, Goodby,Silverstein & Partners will still craft the marketing plans for the new Genesis campaign, because it still contracted to the old ad agency.

In last year’s Super Bowl, Hyundai also had an ad spot, which did well for the company’s exposure. But this time, the company is venturing to a different market. Hyundai is popular for producing lower-priced vehicles; the introduction of a more expensive luxury coupe could compromise the company’s reputation.

The Genesis campaign will definitely need all the help it can get, and help doesn’t get much better than a 30-second spot during the Super Bowl.

That article is a little confusing. Hyundai had 2 spots in the 2008 superbowl, both Genesis spots. I am not sure how doing another Genesis spot is venturing to a different market. Also not sure how the introduction of a more expensive luxury coupe has anything to do with advertising the company's latest luxury sedan????

Curious. what's the going rate for an advertisement during superbowl primetime?

All depends what time slot... closer to half time can reach $2 million (yes, two million dollars).

I wonder if there's some confusion here and they're really trying to say the Genesis coupe. Different market and it's coming out next year, in time to entice the audience :)
