Obviously only applicable to UK Genesis owners, but I read today Genesis UK standalone operation to close with the loss of 83 jobs.
I suppose the business model of all cars going to one central service location across the whole of Britain just wasn't practical.
From next year a dealer network from the existing chains - Arnold Clark, Richmond, Pendragon amongst others will open Genesis showrooms, and Genesis will become part of Hyundai, I'm guessing being sold from separate locations from existing sites.
Service work will be carried out at dealerships in the traditional manner. Whilst Genesis UK offered excellent customer service from point of contact to mobile technicians, being able to go to a dealer with your car and speak to a technician in a workshop, for a fussy customer like me may well be a better solution.
