Good evening everyone,
I am almost ready to pull the trigger on purchasing a 19 G80 Ultimate 5.0. The car has 40k miles.
One of my concerns is that the vehicle would not be covered under the factory warranty since I’m not the original owner. I called the local Genesis dealership here in Dallas and the finance department said they could offer me a VSC Platinum warranty (7 yr 100k) (I’m guessing this is from factory in service date) for $4k.
I have 2 questions. Is this legit? Everywhere I read is that you can’t get a CPO/VSC after the original new warranty. I am just scared to pay for something that is not a legit Hyundai/genesis warranty.
Second. I found this website https://www.mygenesisprotection.com/vehicle-protection. Is this the legit Genesis VSC website? When I put in the VIN it lets me buy a VSC but I’m not sure if this is legit. Any help would be appreciated you guys as I willl be a new Genesis owner soon!
