  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey Everyone,

I'm having some issues with my car. There are some days where my car won't start at all. No lights on the dashboard works, the cabin lights don't work, its absolutely dead. But then some days it just magically starts working again. I've gotten my battery and alternator tested numerous times and it all comes out good. It recently died on me yesterday as I was trying to go home. Boom, dead again. Tried to jump it and it didn't work, the car would make some clicking noise and the lights would flash on the dashboard. So I went to go buy a battery and by the time I was back. My car was working just fine, but this time the ESC light came on and it's still on every time I turn on my car. I read some post about it being the battery or a bad connection. But at this point, I don't know what else it could be. My battery is 5 years old, so I was going to replace it. But all my friends and those who tested the battery says that the battery is not the issue.
Have any of you guys experienced the same issue?

Make sure negative battery cable is connected firmly to trunk floor and that connection is clean with no dirt or rust.

Check the connections. Both ends of the cable, No matter how good the battery, you have to deliver the juice.

5 year old battery needs to be replaced. Living on borrowed time.
