Get the map updated - cheaper / easier now

Damm , I just did my update this morning. I was real close to see if I could send it back . Then I said the heck with it and installed it.

Is one able ,meaning can it work? If I were to reinstall the 13.5 SD card and let it run through the process , or is that not possible?

After a few days of use I’ve found some serious bugs relating to audio routing. Text messages sometimes cause the phone app to hang, can’t make/receive calls without restarting the radio. Sometimes after Bluetooth phone calls the audio bus doesn’t hand off controls to the other apps- for instance media or nav can’t be volume controlled any more.

Troubleshooting suggests it’s a possible race condition failing due to system load from the new update. Will require Hyundai/LGE to fix, hopefully ASAP.

Haven't had any phone problems... yet.

Yeah I was kind of figuring that. Oh well. I only went 120miles with the new update, no problems so far.

Mine seems to work fine - didn't even realize that it would read back an incoming text.

I have a ticket open with map n soft and they admitted that some updates are corrupt being software they received from Hyundai to Update firmware on the radios. They claim to have it fixed and will send updated sd cards to those you are having issues and you have to open a ticket with them To get the update. As of now they pulled the update off their website. My issues are XM Traffic does not work any more XM Radio still does but the traffic portion no... I can’t view roads or streets. above .25 before it was 300 feet or lower. And yes before I filed a ticket with Map n Soft I called Sirius XM to make sure my subscription still had traffic. I also went to my local dealer and they referred me back to map n soft.
my advice anyone having and issue with this update should file a ticket, I am a bit concerned that the update may have done issues to my Navi system coming from a tech background it’s very hard to come back from a botched firmware update

let’s stay on them as a collective group and see this through till it’s right for all of us.

No Map n Soft said you can not downgrade once you install the 14 update

Thanks Darkknight...your posts would seem to explain why there is a hold till mid may on the 14 update for my 16 ultimate... Will wait another month or two to let them work out the kinks. Does seem like there are some on this forum that already have the update done like you..some notice a few issues..others not as of yet.Hopefully all get these issues resolved with minimum headache

here's my problem with that these types of updates should have been tested and retested before they went live... we did not pay a premium for our cars to be a beta tester.... again I have an extensive background in firmware and micro controller updates and I think Map N Soft will be replacing some bricked radios very soon...

Driving home from the airport today I noticed it now displays text messages from my iPhone 11. A message screen popped up when my wife texted me and it had read, view, cancel on the screen. I hit read and a screen popped up that said you can’t use while driving. When I got to a red light I shift the car into park and presto! I hit read and the automated voice read the message along with the message displaying on the head unit! I’ve been missing that since I got rid of my wife’s BMW.

I tried hitting both the view and the read. Would not let me do either unless I put the car in park. Do you know if maybe there is a setting that will let the unit read the message back to me automatically without using Siri Eyes? It would be nice if the unit would let you View the message when you are stopped without putting the car in park. As long as you are not moving and the car is in auto hold or foot on brake. I live in FL and as you know Fl has the longest red lights on the planet...lol. Some in my area take 5 plus minutes to cycle. The average across the nation is 120 seconds. The average in Fl according to FDOT is 4.5 minutes.

Installed the update with zero issues on my 2015 Ultimate. And I just checked the website. They did not pull the update off their website as of today, based upon reading the posts here, yours was the first and only install that had issues.

I assure you I’m not the first.... it’s noted all over several Facebook groups I just looked the 2015 ultimate is correct it’s still there but any Touch screen version is not there

Just curious - were you sent a USB stick with your update in addition to the SD card? I was sent both, but mine didn't "ask" for it by greying out the "Update" button...
