Get the map updated - cheaper / easier now

How delayed is USPS right now? Tracking shows it was processed in Irvine, CA on the 31st. It's been almost 2 weeks with no updates. Figured it should've hit Canada Customs by now?

Most of us saw a delay of a few days from the shipping notice before it actually moved. A week to customs would sound about right. Small packages from Calgary that I order take about two weeks in this direction.

I'm in the same boat shipped on the 29th. But according to my friend who runs an online store CBSA is quite backed up right now, they have had packages sit for 3 weeks coming north. I figure it will get here when it does, end of the month on the outside range.

I will keep the car running (I will drive the wife around and she can run into places). I want to know if it is okay to drive around or should the car sit parked in one spot.

I just took a 35 min ride - I was bored during the COVID lockdown & there was little traffic on the freeways. Found a few sources of rattles as a bonus. Mostly misc debris in my door pockets & console... System just reboots when it's done.

LOL! I found the source of the wind noise on the driver side door. Replaced the seal that seats on the outside bottom of the window. Love the peace and quiet in my Genny now!

I also found a whistle on near the driver's door on that trip too - turns out it's a seal on the leading edge of the REAR driver's side door that came adrift...

It was easy, about 10 mins. Need to remove the plastic cover that covers 3 nuts holding the mirror. Remove them, unplug the mirror, remove the old seal, pop the new one in and voila. Found one for $39 from some warehouse that kept parts from closed manufactures. It was a steal and I had to buy it.

That is correct in the US for first owner a Genesis less than 3 years old. It does not apply to older models, second owners and possibly others.

Hi, Joe: OK, you seem to be super knowledgeable. I have a new 2020 G90 ultimate. I can see a new navigation update is available. I'm disappointed I found this by poking around online. I didn't get any notice from Genesis. Is this update available "over the air," or is it more complicated? And if over the air, can you give me a quick tutorial? many many thanks.

Sign up at www.mapnsoft.com/genesis and they will send you what you need and the instructions. Check the box that says "Bill to GMA" and it will cost you nothing.

first of all, I meant to call you Ed. apologies. second, thanks. Is it something a non-technical guy can do? I'm a bit disappointed, because Genesis promotes "over the air" updates. I thought that's how my navigation system would be updated. So do you think someone who isn't technical can do this? Thank you, again.

Anyone can do it, just put the card in the slot and it does its thing.

Never saw anything about over the air updates though.

Looks like only the Korean version does OTA. Note the Korean print in the pic. Looks like everyone including some dealers just blindly copied the Korean press. There is nothing about OTA on the Genesis USA site.

Did anyone ran into a screen freezing problem after the update? Happened to me twice since Friday of last week. I was changing input and screen got stuck. I could only use vol up/down. Had to restart the car to fix it. Seems like a glitch but haven’t figured out how to trigger it again.
