Getting ready to buy my first G80

The 15/16 are nearly identical and you can get a good one for less than your budget. My 2015 Ultra sold for about 26.5 on the dealer lot.

Some people had noise or rattle issues with the pano roof but with 3 cars, I never did. I also don't open it.

There were three models and the Ultimate has the 17 speaker stereo as well as other features. If you look at the difference with the present models, the packages are similar and you'll have a better idea of what to look for and what is important to you. The Ultimate cannot use Car Play or Android Auto if that is important to you, but you get the larger screen and Heads Up Display, a feature I really like. The AWD has features you don't need in Florida like a heated steering wheel and heated rear seats.

Not everyone agrees with me but if you are going to buy a luxury brand car, only one model suits me, the Ultimate. I'd rather have a full blown every option Sonata than a stripped down base model Genesis. Obviously, others disagree.
Just bought a 2017 Genesis G80 Ultimate in Patagonia Blue with Ivory Interior and at 65 this is going to be the last car I ever buy. It is Stunning and I agree with you. I owned a 2017 Sonata with all the options and this car has blown me away. Just wondering if you know why Genesis would discontinue this color combo?

I have the same color combo in a G90. It’s really outstanding And in bright sunlight it is spectacular.
I sincerely do hope that you live longer than your car though, no matter how good it is.

I imagine the Ivory interior was less popular because of the potential for dirt but it is a nice shade of blue.

So, you planning to keep it for 20 more years? The last three cars I bought were potentially my last but I'm 2 months from 75 and thinking of what my next one might be. Could be a 2021 G80 if the price is right.

bobbyd, you sound a little like me when I was 65. For me, that was 23 years ago and have bought a Cadillac in 2001 and later, an Avalon and later, a 2018 G80. Been doing some thinking on a 21-22 G80. I want that Soft Ride option and Door Close Assist.

Once I fall in love with something I keep them forever just like my wife. I still have my first car I ever bought which is a 1977 Fiat Spider. I also own a 2007 Corvette Convertible in Monterey Red that sits right next to the G80 in the garage. Now the Spider may have to spend the winter in the driveway unless I can come up with a solution. I looked at the 2021 G80 but what stopped me right away is I can not get over that infotainment screen sticking right out of the dashboard. I want it inside not outside but that's me. I also must have the right color combo. This G80 with only 19K I just purchased went for $28,260 from a dealer in Illinois. I put down $500 right away and was later was told that offers were flying in from all parts of the country. By the way, when you have OCD dirt will not be a problem with an Ivory Interior. Nice talking to you Ed.

I hope I look like you when I am 88. Like a told another member...When I love something I keep them forever just like my wife. I still have my first car a 1977 Fiat Spider. I looked at the 2021 G80 but do not like that infotainment center sticking out of the dashboard. It just does not look right but that's me.

Yes, absolutely spectacular under bright sunlight but under an LED light in the garage will also give you a high. My wife is ready to have me committed as I often just stare at the car in the garage and repeat to myself "Is this really mine?"
