  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My previous 2010 4.6 had what looked like flat black door pillars which I personally thought looked out of place and covered them with chrome trim. My new Rspec is gloss black which looks much better and may not do the chrome trim although I thought it added a lot of class to the Titanium. Is this a 2012 change or am I just loosing it with age?

They all come with gloss black on the B pillars and around the side mirrors. This is new for 2012. You may however still be losing it with age, I know I am...:p

Sometimes I wish there was an option for black window trim on this car. But then I look at the chrome door handles and trim, and I still love it. Are there any Photoshop gurus out there who can create the blacked out look? It would take my till next Thursday to do it.

you can have that trim blacked out if you like. People get this done all the time on BMW's. It's a vinyl wrap just on the chrome areas around the doors, not expensive.

Apperantly that chrome around the windows is actually stainless steel according to my detailer.

Still wouldn't mind it black though, but I don't know........................

I think that's correct, it's not as shiny as chrome, which is actually a good thing because it's very easy to scratch chrome.

Yeah, Chad said that when he put a polish on it that the polish would turn black. I guess indicating it's stainless.

It's a very tricky area to polish. I polish it on my BMW's but it's a major pain in the a$$ because of the rubber around there and the lack of surface area.
