  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Credit where credit is due... Just stumbled upon this What a fantastic idea. I could have avoided a lot of trouble if Hyundai offered this program. :)

It's a cool idea.. That commercial, though - it's a little misleading. The guy says it's GMs new "policy". Right. For like 60 days.. It ends in November.. Right? They make it sound like this is just the way it is from now until further notice...

Free play time with the ZR-1
+ dealer/doc/insurance fees

Ah you're right, Sal - didn't even watch the commercial. I was briefly tempted to give Caddy another shot though -- the program is even available with my employee pricing.

A nice idea though -- maybe it will catch on like the job assurance program.

Yep- put 4K on a ZR-1 or CTS-V, and 60 days less tread and hand them back the keys!
Saweet!

I'm sure it's not that simple. There will be fees to be paid..

LLT.. Which Cadillac are you interested in?

I read the details of GM money back guarantee, and here are the important terms:

  1. You must keep the vehicle at least 30 days, but not longer than 60 days.
  2. Does not apply to leased vehicles.
  3. Does not apply to employee purchases, fleet sales, businesses, etc.
  4. The vehicle must not have received $200 in damage, even if the damage has been repaired. Damage includes scratches, paint chips, etc.
  5. Buyers may opt for a $500 cash rebate if they decline the money-back offer at purchase time. (which means you have to pay $500 for the privilege of being able to use it).
  6. Car must be delivered by Nov 30, 2009.
  7. Car must have no more than 4000 miles on it over delivery mileage.
  8. You cannot repurchase the car later or your trade-in if you invoke the money back guarantee.
  9. The customer will receive the purchase price of the vehicle itself after any rebates, discounts, plus applicable sales taxes that were actually paid. The customer's buyback price does not include anything else. For example, the buyback price does not include any other taxes, licensing, titling or registration fees, insurance, accessories, dealer fees, extended warranties, finance charges, negative equity or any other expenses incurred by the customer at the time of taking delivery of the new vehicle.
