  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Going to install Nitrous

Interesting

I've finally came to a decision to install Nitrous.
...
I will update along the way during install!

Good luck with the install... As far as I recall, you would be the first one to make that happen on the 4.6....(y)

However, over the years, I personally found that it is far more effective to solve the problem first, then share the details and some data with the rest of the group, ideally in a single post.

Great!! That's the one they told me would work best with the 5.0. Advised no more than a 75 shot with out mods. Keep us informed!

Anything installed or given up on the project?

Hopefully he came to his senses and gave up.

Well haven't given up yet lol. Just waiting to see if i should go through with it or wait until another member updates on another thread about sending his motor to a performance shop.

Good luck on that!!! The costs will be significant. And the results uncertain with the inability to really program the ECU to any extent. No one has been able to totally crack the code. I've done all the usual tricks (many have listed them on this site), and am content to outrunning most '15/'16 non modified cars of all descriptions. But if I wanted to try to keep up with the newer higher horsepowered cars from '17--'19 with a slight chance of beating some of them, NOS is the only alternative, and still the least expensive way to go since little modification is necessary and no reprogramming of the ECU is necessary. Again Ford guys have used it for years on their 5.0s and overhead camers with excellent results.
