  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I didn't see the Genesis mentioned in the article?
The Genesis reference is in the "Nuts and Bolts" sidebar in the print version of the article. Looks like that is not included in the online version. The quote is "The 2012 Hyundai Azera is a ... 'common luxury' sedan slotted between the mid-size Hyundai Sonata sedan and the super-luxury Hyundai Genesis..."

If the Genny is "super-luxury," what does he call the Equus? :)

Haha on genesis being super luxury. Ain't no way. Good car but still a miss in that market.

also, the worker's in Montgomery, AL are paid extremely well for that area, there was a MSNBC story on the plant, but can't speak for Ulsan, Korea.

Warren Brown - lol.

His reviews tend to be real lite on the "review" part.

And yeah, Hyundai's wages in 'Bama are in line w/ the other automakers w/ plants in the South and are actually higher than what VW pays (even w/ the cheaper Jetta, VW has some nice margins).

Also, wages in Korea aren't exactly low.

In 2005, a Hyundai worker at Ulsan with over 20 yrs experience was making $65k.

Since then wages have continued to increase but currency fluctuations impact the dollar equivalent.

Also, Hyundai's factories in Ulsan are not as efficient as its plants in the US, Europe, China, Russia and India.
