  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Curious if anyone in the forums is based in Massachusetts and has a positive service experience with their Genesis vehicle. If so, which dealership location?

I bought my GV80 few months ago and I hit an unseen pot hole on a dark road Sat evening, causing a puncture in one of my tires. Tire needs to be replaced and wheel refinished.

Not going to call our my current dealership by name from one experience, but I have been thoroughly unimpressed with their lack of helpfulness thus far. Nobody from service answers phone until 2 hours after opening. Then wait on hold for 15 minutes and told need to speak with someone else. That person don't have a VM setup and after numerous call attempts its over 8 hours later and still no call back.

Really like my GV80 but my concern with switching to Genesis from other luxury brands I've owned was fear of service treatment and from this first one so far it's everything I was fearing.

So if someone out there has had a different experience with another Genesis dealership in Mass please let me know which one.

You shouldn't necessarily limit yourself to Massachusetts. Parts of Connecticut, Rhode Island and New Hampshire are very close depending upon where in Massachusetts you are located.

It has been a while and things may have changed. Bought four cars from Herb Chambers in Auburn.
I took my Sonata in for service and they ran into a problem and had to wait for a new ECU the next day. They gave me a Genesis as a loaner and that is why I bought my first Genesis in 2015. I thank the service writer for that.

Southern NH would be an option, but looking on Google and Yelp the reviews for the 1 option in Southern NH was like 1.5 stars so that didn't seem like a good option either sadly.

The lack of standalone Genesis dealership/service departments in Mass sucks as people seem to give glowing reviews for these ones.

I remember how close Nashua is to the northeastern Massachusetts border. How about Genesis of Nashua? It seems to get decent reviews.

You should look into whether your damaged wheel was equipped with a "resonator" as included in the 22" Prestige wheel. If "refinishing" includes baking new powder-coating, they will have to remove the resonator and there is no way to reinstall it. Wheel replacement is the only fix that gives you what the car was originally equipped with.

Good to know, as I do have the 22" Prestige trim. Thanks!

There is actually one standalone in Quincy/Braintree area, I bought mine from them and have no issue with service since then.

Oh wow, didn't realize there were any standalone dealerships in Mass. Its probably 30 min longer drive than one I bought from, but for better service willing to drive the further distance. Thanks!

I live in central Mass but I do trust them better than the dealerships surrounding me. If you still have the complimentary valet service, they can pick up and drop off your car with in 1hr range.

Have a 21 GV80 Prestige. Genesis of Framingham has been OK-not great. Recently changed ownership about a year and half ago. The new owner ownes around 20 to 30 dealerships around the Country including a couple of large Genesis dealerships. I believe one is a stand alone. Framingham is going to be building a stand alone. They tore down a building and have been at a standstill for 6 months as the City is giving them a hard time is what I have been told. They seem to be working hard at customer service, but are still in transition from old owners. They attempt to get you a loaner and if not, they call Uber and pick up the tab. Appointments are available within a couple of days to a week. Phone issues are sometimes a problem. Have had to leave messages and they do eventually call me back.
