In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. Called Friday for an appointment for my G80 and I was transferred to Mike, the Genesis service writer. He asked if I had a preference and I told him any time is good. He asked if Monday at 9:30 was good. OK. Hung up the phone and realized, I never told them who I was. Was offered pickup or loaner but declined.

This morning, I pulled up to the service area and went in Mike's door. He was with another customer but turned to me with Good morning Mr. P. Have a seat and I'll bring the paperwork. OK, they knew me from caller ID. The service area is comfy and with the usual snacks. I was told it would be about an hour and a half on the phone. When done, Mike came and got me and I kidded him about it taking 2 minutes over the time. Signed the papers and he gave me a rundown of what they did, walked me out to my car.

This is my third service there and all have been excellent. I know some of you have complaints about your dealer but this is truly a first class operation. Other dealers could learn from these guys.
 
I have not had this warm and fuzzy with Mike. Asked for Genesis Customer Service, he flat refused to supply. Simply Will NOT Do anything about the belt mouldings. Finally had to have his superior authorize repaint of front bumper where the primer was showing thru. He just ignored it and apparently would never have addressed it if I hadn't pushed it with his superior. Took car in, with appointment, for oil/filter/rotation. Waited about 1.5 hours, ridiculous compared to oil change places but I was OK with that. Noticed when I got home they didn't rotate the tires, when I called back once again had to speak to Jill as he said they just don't rotate from side to side when front and rear are different sizes. Took it back and was met by Mike who handled it, but complained.
I dealt with Gettel for 25 years in my job, NEVER had a good experience and still it goes on.
Body shop is a different matter, they are top notch and Mark, Dave & Eric all are first rate for customer service. Mike, not so much.

Sorry to hear your experience was not so good. I've only been there 3 times, all good. Have not bought there yet.

Agree that oil change places are faster but they don't change the air filter, cabin filter, rotate tires, some of the other inspections. Last time I tried one they did not have the filter but did not know that until after the oil was drained.
