  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a 2012 R-spec. It has been a good car up till now. First the PBS lighr came on, followed by Check engine, followed by several others. Now the car won't shut off. I have to disconnect the battery to shut off the engine. Any answer

Unfortunately Your Spec is in Love with you Gippo8 Lol. Just Kidding You need to put it on a scan tool aka the Code Reader The best scan tool is at the stealership though

Thanks for your input. I took my R spec into a dealership in Houston TX yesterday. After 8 hours, the problem could not be found. So I left the Gennie there. Hopefully the problem can be found and corrected. And yes, I am in love with Genny.☺

Sterling Mcall,Hub and North Freeway Hyundai Stealerships are your three best options you got in H Town TX

That 12 R Spec is a Legend Vehicle I had one in 2014 I drove it from 7700 miles to 105000 miles without any major issues at all. Frankly Speaking almost none The only short coming was that wireless Bluetooth connection issue and Blue link that bothered me other than that I really enjoyed it so I just scrolled on to the 13 R Spec and then the 15 5.0 followed but I still kept my 13 R Spec however I got disgusted with the 15 5.0 2nd Gen new body style and the hype despite the luxury Realizing I had lost interest and a few horses on the 15 5.0 I traded it in for a Pearl White 14 R Spec V8 with 6500 miles a true Sedan to me Now I am very happy

Did you know that every now and then that the 12 R Spec V8 Sedan has held more value on the used car market than the 13 R Spec for some strange reason

I purchased the 2014 R spec sedan new. Now have 77K miles on it. I get the urge to get a new car but just cannot find one I would rather have. A great car and the power is addictive.

I feel the same way I really love and appreciate my 13 and 14 R Specs even though I am a second owner on both. Bought each used two years apart in purchase date @31000 miles& @65000 miles respectively nevertheless they still run around like brand new. I can't find a replacement to them yet to my satisfaction and joy that they offer As a matter of fact after the 13 I had to go get the 14 with that heated steering wheel regardless of the mileage

DIAMOND in the ruff! Happy for you guys finding those. Before I got my 3.8 Premium I could not find a WHITE one like I wanted. Only the Silver or Black in not so good condition. I would def purchase a white R Spec regardless of the mileage. I have done all of the maint. on mine and it is still running well with 215k miles on it (yup I put those on it since purchase with 38k miles). I digress....

Mine is not for sale, but she is a pearl white, 2012 5.0 non-R-Spec with 125,000. Best of both worlds IMO (429 hp, without the harsh ride). I’ve had her since new. She did get a new tranny at 69k, and a new alternator and starter at 75,000 (all under warranty). She is now needing a electronic parking brake, which the dealer said would be 3,900, but i just got one from AZ for $200 on eBay motors. Trying to find someone to put it in, cause there isn’t another car I’d rather drive. Other than an F50, but keeping it real.

I have collected 3 nice R-Specs so far two 13s and one 14 all with low mileage and in excellent condition however I am trying to get rid of one with 87,000 miles for cheap
because parking spots are becoming a problem in my neighborhood
