  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Have a chance to buy 2011 Genesis 4.6 for 36,559. Sticker price is $43,885. Is this a good deal? This include the new rebate of $2750.

Thanks jaybird511jh

The price that you are being quoted isn't bad. However, I bought my 2011 last week. If I recall, the incentives were $1500 competive bonus cash plus another $1,000 for financing. MSRP was about the same. My final price was $35,400 plus tax, DMV, etc.

I'm pretty sure that they really didn't make much if anything when all was said and done. I think that they wanted it off the lot since the 2012's are out.

I got the biggest incentive from using www.zag.com and got actual pricing from local dealerships.

I bought a '11 4.6 CPO last week. The dealer had some new 4.6 vehicles that they were selling for $35,000.

You can do better than your quote. Keep work'n them.

Can you tell me more about "the new rebate of $2750", and who the rebate comes from (i.e., Hyundai?, the dealer?, etc.), and what is takes to get it? I've heard about the previous rebates ($1500 for competitive or valued owner, $1000 if you finance, $ for military, $ for recent grad, etc.), but not this one.

Thanks,

Dave

I bought a new 2011 4.6 with trunk liner, iPod cable, wheel locks (how it was spec'd) on Halloween. List was 44,000. Dealer discounted 7,000 off the top. Got the 1500 competitive rebate and 1000 financing (0% 36 mos). Brought it to 34,500 before trade. Got 1750 for a 94 Honda Civic with 157,000 miles, rust, dents, which I thought was pretty generous. Final price 32,750 + TTL.

I'm having a little buyer's remorse thinking maybe I should have been cheap and gone for a Sonata SE 2.0 base, which I could have had for 3000 off sticker, but no incentives and not much for a trade. Better mpg, but nowhere near as nice. Hopefully once vacation is over and I go back to work, mpg will go up as I spend more time on the freeway.

Supersax: I just went back and looked at that $2750 and that what it said on cars.com, but it looks like it supposedly is toward a lease and not a purchase. Didn't read the fine print . Still trying to negotiate with them. They will give me Hyundai Circle pricing but that is down to $39,000 something don't remember right off hand. Seems like they could come down allot. Its been there since March....jaybird511jh
