  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

GPS Map Update

2016 is done by usb flash drive. 2012 is a bunch of DVDs that take forever and brings nothing according to above post.
On some Genesis models, it depends on whether you have Technology Package with DIS, or the packages with the touch screen nav. Some of the older Tech Packages with DIS requires a dealer nave upgrade with a bunch of DVD's that takes forever, but on touch screen nav I think you can do it yourself. Not sure about the new models.

The mapnsoft website will indicate who can update their own nav, or which ones the dealer must do, based on model year and trim level.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I have installed two updates on my 2013 R-Spec in 2014 & 2015. The updates were furnished on 16GB USB memory sticks and they each took about an hour to install. Oh, BTW, the warning screen on my R-Spec DOES timeout and go away on its own! It takes about 15-20 seconds.

I have just received my v10 update but have not installed it yet. It's also on a 16GB USB memory stick.

Does anyone have the 121d01 DVD, I am not interested in the MAPS since Waze/Google are king, I would like to improve the MENU and functionalities, I only need the Genesis disk and will pay for it
