  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I just purchased a used but nice condition 2011 Genesis Sedan. The "entertainment" system is essentially a radio and CD player (base package or Package 1? - not sure but nothing fancy) and I'd like to replace it with a more friendly GPS / Mapping / Navigation system so I don't need to balance my phone with Google Maps on the console. Does anyone know of any after market used or compatible GPS systems that would fit a 2011 Sedan, and what the approx cost would be.? I dont need to stream online audio or have a nice UI like my iphone - just ability to show maps, distance and driving directions. Linking to a backup camera would also be nice but I suspect theres considerable other charges to install and camera and wire it.
Thanks very much - new to this forum.

There are systems out there. Google is your friend.

Get a nice telescoping drink holder mount for your phone. Then size your phone to your needs. There are many brands available.

Thanks - may just go the simple route and go with an iphone mount (cup holder or maybe there's a mount that I can use the CD player slot somehow) as reviewing other threads seems to be hit and miss on quality and some car functions don't seem to work (it varies).

Yes, start with the simple fix. You can always spend muuuuuuch more if that doesn’t work. Why spend $$$$$ on a 2011 vehicle?
