  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

GPS Update V11.5 out now

Anyone updated yet? Seen any improvements?? Still haven't got mine.

They show what's changed on the change list, I'm wondering if it does increase speed a bit. I think my is pretty old now so an update can't hurt. People that did update let us know the difference.

I purchased my sedan August 11th and shortly thereafter updated to the free Appleplay at the Hyundai site. I believe it updated the navigation at that time. I wonder if it would really be beneficiary for me to update at this time.

weird, i got an email about android auto being available for jog/prem a while back, was never able to find it on the website and the links in the email were dead, /shrug

I don't think an update can be applied to more than one vehicle (they have a way to prevent that).

looks like they require auth code during installation that is based on device id and vin#. i'm sure some talented hacker could reverse engineer this and whip up a "keygen" but doubt many hackers have a genesis to work on. not that i would condone this but for strictly educational purposes it would be possible to use it on more than one vehicle.

By the way their website seems to imply that android auto and apply carplay are included in this update. Just to be clear, both are available for free from myhyundai and this update is NOT needed to add those features.

I am not saying it cannot be hacked, but the majority of "so-called" hacks are nothing more than guessing or stealing a password.

There are idiots like John Podesta (former chairman of the 2016 Hillary Clinton presidential campaign and previously chief of staff to President Bill Clinton and later Counselor to President Barack Obama) who used "password" as his email password.

Then there are celebrities who use their dog as their password, and always seem to have a lot nude photos of themselves on their smartphone.
