  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Over Easter weekend, we completed our 5th annual Spring Run of the Dragon and we had TWO SEDANS!

Tailwalker and myself finally got to meet in person and put some miles on our cars driving some of the best roads the southeast has to offer.

On Thursday I drove the Cherohala Skyway, the Dragon and Foothiils Parkway, alone to feel out the heavier Sedan. Unfortunately part of the Skyway was on fire and we got a police escort for a few miles through the smoke:

On Friday we went up the Foothills Parkway, Dragon and out to the Dry Falls and Bridal Veil Falls with the group.

On Saturday we rode with the group through the Cherohala Skyway at speed, I pushed her to keep up with the lighter and better setup Coupes and was impressed at how well it held together on bone stock suspension. My Brembo brakes held up well too, despite glazing over at some point during the Skyway and developing the infamous Brembo squeal at low speeds.

Now for the photodump:

As you can see it's not just limited to just Genesis Coupes, this time we had a 2015 Mustang, a Focus ST, Mini Countryman All4 and a 240SX with a V8 swap.

Won't you come join us?

See you in the fall!

Awesome man I wish I could have made it. The sedans were definitely outnumbered!! Love the aerial group shot of everybody. I bought a front lip from Tailwalker and got to meet in person while he was on the way back from the Dragon. Sounded like it was a lot of fun and hope I can make it three sedans next year. Not sure how generous the Dragon will be to my air suspension though... In for more pictures.

I could not have said it better myself. This was a fantastic weekend, doing something I have never attempted in any fashion previously. Beyond the striking scenery and ridiculous roads, there was a collection of great and welcoming people. I know that any and all sedans will be welcomed to the future runs.

We had an absolute blast; I'll post a few pics and videos as soon as I get them together.

Sufficed to say, we had a blast. If you want to DRIVE your car, and see its capabilities...come on out this October. I felt the car did great. It was the driver that was holding it back. lol

I've been part of the GenSport United group for a few years and attended a couple of runs. A great time for sure and people are super friendly! Best time to go is in the fall when the leaves are changing colors and a larger number of people make it out. Looks to be around 125 attendees this coming October. Will be attending this fall!

Great pics btw!

Beautiful scenery and I see some good shots taken ;)

Very nice indeed, I wish I would have been able to make it! So October it is...
Who knows by that time both the V8 ECUs might be cracked!? We can dream right? :)

Very nice. I have not followed up in a while...been busy. Great news.

There will likely be a third sedan there. ;)
FWIW, I talked to BTRcc about the 5.0L tuning, and it appears that we could get tuned at a custom tune event. No plans for release as a canned affair.

Yay. First post.

Welcome Kris!

I am hoping on being out there too, all depends on the wife's surgery timing/recovery.
