  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

When I want to navigate to a saved place I have to scroll thru a list of addresses, that I don't always remember how to associate with a name.
Who knows how to call out a NAME for destination....as when I say...GOTO HOME
Except, I want to GOTO Cathy... or call up a destination named Cathy.

HOW.

I haven't actually tried - I find the voice recognition and nav systems to be quite lacking, so I've always used Android Auto. I know that doesn't help you any but I will try it on my way home to see if named saved locations work for me...

Thank you.
i suppose I should try Apple Car Play... but having to plug in vai cable is so antiquated.
Who has time to rewire every time they get into their car.
Genesis needs seamless, wireless.
Let me know what you find.

There are wireless adapters that work quite well.

Yes, I use the Motorola MA1 adapter for my Android phone. I usually end up plugging in another cable to charge my phone since my daily commutes are over an hour each way anyway. ;)

I've never had an iPhone, so I'm no expert but I would search for "Carplay wireless adapter". Some of them are just straight-through wireless adapters and some have processors built in that run their own software and interface with the phone. I'm guessing the first type would be less problematic.

Technically, all of them have processors and firmware, and all seem to provide updates to that firmware from time to time. That said, I understand what you mean. The one I have is dependent on my phone to operate. I have seen others that seem like they are almost an Android phone in themselves.

Thank you.
I ordered one.
lt is on its way
