  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

GV70 (USA) Build Configurator Now Available

The only way to get Head Up Display is with 3.5 Sport Prestige? Am I reading this right?

Looks like Prestige features require Sport Package. Confusing.

I'm not liking the fact that it you get the Sport Prestige that it only comes with...
  • Nappa Leather Seating Surfaces w/ Suede Insert
I would prefer the quilted Nappa leather seats.

No rear heated seats??? Top trim 2.5T doesn't get heated rear seats or 3D gauge cluster or Nappa leather or HUD or 3 Zone climate control. Damn, they messed up. Making me rethink Q5 and X3.

Canada gets it mostly right (see attached image). I don't know why they are messing this up. If 2.5T top trim is over 45k, I am getting the Q5, since I get all this for 51k after discounts.

My salesman is already on the phone with Genesis. My comment to him was that the choices were pretty meager and confusing. Hopefully he'll get some answers.

Very disappointed also regarding head up display. Also, what's up with not showing other wheel options when configuring packages, or do they all come with black wheels? Regarding head up display, once you've had one, you do not want to drive without it.

I don't see any mention of the three spoke sport steering wheel. Does any see it mentioned?

Yeah, it seems like this is a basic reserve option. Not like a regular build option that we see on GV80 or other cars since it doesn't have things like accessories. I don't understand why Genesis would put up half baked configuration option. This is the same with the new G70. Maybe it is to understand what the demand is and see how many people reserve.

Let us know if you get any updates on this.

Besides nothing about the steering wheel, which is fairly big deal to me as i'm not a fan of two spoke... all trims are awd. I expected that for v6 but interesting to see it for 2.5 as well.

Maybe this is just an early release of the config. I mean its obvious that with no changes to the exterior trims

Interesting. Shows matte colors. Overall, though, I don't like that in order to get the top trim it has to be with all the sports appearance features.

Went ahead and made reservation for following: 2.5 AWD, savile silver, burgundy interior, adv package. This corresponds with what I have already given my dealer a few days ago. After submitting reservation, a statement comes up that I will be contacted by phone or email. Interested to see, and if so I will have pertinent questions for them about why U.S. packages are different from Canadian. I don't really expect an answer however.

The 3.5T trims are much more well-equipped than the 2.5T trims. If you want features, it may be worth going for the stronger engine if the price delta isn't too high.

Also, just noticed that none of the 2.5T trims have the electronically controlled suspension with road preview. The 3.5T has it available base. Did the GV70 come with the road noise cancelling tech in the GV80? I don't see it as a feature.

Just to follow up, got a call from Genesis concierge services to thank me for my interest and submission. Told him my concerns and he said others have expressed the same. Said they would be consulting/working with my dealer on my selection of car that I'm looking for (standard talking points). He did say however the dealers would be getting cars in the U.S. in Apr/May timeframe.

I received a call from the Genesis concierge, and the concierge told me the same thing that the cars are expected to be here in the spring. I asked him about the sport on the reservation site not showing the three-spoke steering wheel, and he said he would look into it, and he had other calls with customers concerned about the sport not showing the three-spoke steering wheel.

I submitted my reservation late last night. I just got a call from Genesis concierge also and was told the same thing about the delivery date. So, here's to wishing and hoping April/May is accurate.

This is the same configurator that popped up for the GV80 and G80 reservations early last year. Unfortunately, the configuration options listed are likely to be exactly as they're listed, just as they were for the GV80 and G80.

The U.S. market has been getting bizarre option packages from Hyundai/Kia/Genesis lately, especially compared to the Canadian market. For whatever reason, they really don't like giving the U.S. market full digital gauge clusters.

It's a shame, I might not get the GV70 because of this. I don't want the 3.5TT. I don't want to spend more than 50K since I can get everything for 50K from Q5, GLC, X3. It just doesn't make sense to me to spend close to 60K which is what 3.5TT is gonna be to get the features
