  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

GV70 Wheel Sizes and Off Sets

I've seen these wheels in a few of the early marketing photo's from Genesis. I'm sure this was a pre-production car but have also seen videos on youtube that show the GV70 in Korea with these wheels as well. I'm not a big fan of the "Black Wheels".. just not my thing..sure it's a generational thing but really like these so much better than what's coming standard on the 2.5 Advanced. Does anyone2022-genesis-gv70-rear-three-quarters-1603932743.webp have any heads up on these? I'm assuming it's a Korea Only type of thing but want to know for sure.

Not available in the USA market. Which is disappointing because I really liked the wheels as well.

If you are looking to swap out the 21" sport alloy wheels and you like the 19" wheels that come on a 3.5 trim GV70's, I'm guessing you could find someone to swap with. I spent some time I ended up purchasing a set of the 21" wheels from another member to use as my summer wheels and the OEM 19" will be set aside for winter or a spare set. I would have gladly traded you my 19's for the 21's.

Anyone happen to know what that lug bolt size is on the GV70? I'm curious if the wheel stud pilot pin sets I already have on hand for my german cars will work with the Genesis. Thanks in advance for any info you may have!

Thanks, Deewan. Actually, with the 2.5L Advanced here in the U.S., it comes standard with the 19" wheels, not the 21's with the Sport Trim. I don't hate the wheels it comes with, just prefer the Korea Only wheels shown in the photograph. In fact, I wasn't a big fan of the 21" Waffel Iron Wheels either, and it was one of the main reasons for not upgrading to that trim. That AND the mesh insert seats. Different strokes for different folks. Maybe sometime in the future, they'll have these available as well but I'll most likely be looking for something similar aftermarket at some point. I really think wheels have a huge impact on the look of the vehicle. Never been one to swap out wheels on a new car, but I'm at a point in my life where I think I'll splurge because I like the car so much.

They are m14x1.5 with a 40mm shank (length of the threads) according to a user that measured their lug bolts a while ago.

Thank you. I appreciate it!

Australia, Korea, Euro... pretty sure they are everywhere EXCEPT America.

I know, what is the deal with that. These are by far my favorite OEM wheels. Just don't know why they wouldn't offer them unless there are issues with the supply chain. Regardless, doesn't make sense. Not everyone want's those funky waffle Iron wheels or black wheels. These are perfect, very sleek/simple and MUCH easier to keep clean than the other ones. Just IMHO of course :) I'm guessing put to a vote, many would feel the same way. They just dress up the car so much more. At the very least, I'll be bugging the genesis dealer to see about a way to get them, even if I have to wait 1+ years.

Where there is a will, there is a way. However you may change your mind when it comes to price. I and a few others inquired about swapping out the OEM 19" sport wheels that will come on the 3.5 Sport Advanced for the 21" sport waffle wheels. The lowest price I've seen mentioned by a dealer was $5692 ($1069 each wheel and $1416 for four tires). I'm guessing you may be looking at similar pricing plus shipping and import fees. Then again. it could all be determined by the power of the dollar at the time.

But I agree if those wheels came on the 3.5T I would never have started a search for the 21" sport alloy wheels for my summer set. I would have kept what came with the GV70.

Holy moly, hard pass on that, I'd rather take a NICE vacation for the same $$. Guess I'll check aftermarket at some point for a better deal on something that looks similar... my wife would kill me :)

Have you looked on eBay? I ended up buying a set of 19" OEM wheels to use as my winter tires (for less than $1K), and will keep the 21" waffle ones as my summer ones.

What size 22’s would you guys go with. I’d like the widest rears possible. The macan has 295’s in the back. That would be a sweet look.
Would love to find out if 295s are possible without cuts on the gv70

Two questions for the wheel and tire experts among us:

For my 2022 Genesis GV70 Select 2.5T (equipped with OEM 19-inch wheels and Michelin tires):

1. Would 19x8.5 ET32 wheels fit? Would this be a recommendable option?
2. Could I mount my OEM Michelin Primacy Tour A/S 235/55R19 tires on these wheels?

1.

  • I believe stock are 19x8, et+39, so you are pushing out the wheel to be more flush with the body by 7mm (39 - 32) or a little over 1/4". That should not be a problem.
  • The wheel width does not come into play since the tire is still wider than wheel.
  • Also, since you are using the same tire and no increase in tire width, the only change is from the decreased wheel offset (39 to 32).
  • If you were using a wider tire (eg 255 series), then that would further push the tire out to be more flush with the fender.
    • Specifically, half (half because the increase width is split between both sides of the wheel) of the tire width increase (ie 255-235 = 20/2 = 10 mm) adding to the 7 mm wheel offset change (total of 17 mm) being pushed out. That is about .67" which may be getting close. You don't want your tire sticking out from the body.
  • Best to actually confirm with a tire/wheel shop before committing.
2. Yes, general rule is 8.5" wheel width takes 235 or 245 series tire.

I’m going with 20x10 Wheels. I’m curious if anyone else has tried that size.

What are the stock rims and tire sizes.. 20” - ??

Wasn't sure about posting a new thread, so thought I'd try here first....I have a 2022 GV70 Advanced with the stock 235/55/19 Michelin Primacy tires. Would a Continental DWS06 tire in 245/50/19 fit the wheel and not have any clearance issue?....according to the tire calculator site it's a slight speedo difference and slightly wider and lower height.

I doubt you’d see any Speedo difference tbh
