  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just bought new 2023 GV70 2.5 with the 21 inch rims. They are sweet looking but I'm getting a slight front end vibration felt through the steering wheel and driver seat.
(Much like feeling you get when tires are not balanced or brake rotors need re-surfacing).

Please let me know if you have a "smooth ride" or any issues!

Much appreciated

I have over 8000 miles logged now on my OEM 21" wheels and nothing to report like what you are experiencing. Have you taken your GV70 to a tire shop to confirm alignment and balancing is still correct?

no - its brand new and was doing this right from picking up at dealership. I'll have to go back there and have them check it out. Thanks for the response!

Take it back to the dealership. A shimmy isn't normal on a new vehicle.

Not sure if it's the same problem. I experienced steering wheel vibration when we test drove two different trims at two different dealerships especially around 50 - 60mph on the highway. One was 2.5T SP, and the other was 2.5T Advance. The sales persons from both dealerships mentioned that probably due to overinflated tires. I was a bit skeptical about the comment but I didn't dig deeper. When we picked up the new car after a several month wait, I did make sure that there wasn't any vibration before proceeding with purchase.

My tires are running high PSI… no issues. Sounds like an alignment or balance issue. Following

Just to be clear, you are not talking about the haptic feedback from lane departure warning system, right? I am sure you would know the difference, but just making sure ;-)
