GV80 ac evaporator problems?

At 50,000 miles my evap began failing waiting 30 days for parts!!

Had the same AC issue. Mine was fortunately under warranty since the dash had to come out to access it and it would have cost around $3000. My dealer had it in stock so i had it back in 2 days, waiting 30 days is absurd. I hope you're not in a hot climate like i am.

Ouch! My G80 was $1200 to replace evap coil. Took 2 days to get the part, 3 days to do the job.

It's one of those issues where the actual fix doesn't take long but getting to it does.

Ouch, think the part is about $300 but the dash has to come out to replace it.

The system also has to be vacuumed down and refilled, and R1234yf is expensive.

True but I think the refrigerant is roughly $100. It's big labor job.

That's ridiculous, considering this is a common issue with all Genesis GV model AC Evaporators.
