  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have the same vehicle but have not experienced that particular problem. I did, however recently change out the battery, and got pretty familiar with the set up in battery compartment under the rear right tire cover area. The tolerances are close and the aux fuse panel there is a bit of an afterthought kludge--with the only support being the positive terminal and a little plastic foot opposite it. If your problem only happens when the car is loaded, I would check to see if somehow the weight in that area is causing a short--either of the cables onto the body/frame or with the battery tie-down bracket, or if it is placing too much pressure on that little circuit board. Also check to make sure all the cable connections are tight in that area. You might try loading the car away from the back right corner where all those connections are located. Also, go out after the car has been fully loaded and sitting for an hour or so at night in the dark and make sure the hatch lights are not on due to a misaligned closure or switch slightly out of tolerance that the added weight triggers. Good luck ! Please post your problem identification and solution if and when you locate it....

Is the rear boot light staying on when the rear is loaded?
no it was a battery short and now has been fixed they had previously checked the battery and said it was fine but they did a long test on it at the dealership and it had a short and it's now working great!
