Is this sport mode toggle real metal

The dial material on the console you simple oneWhat are you even referring to? Sport mode is just like any other mode: Comfort, Eco, Snow......
The only reason I am even answering you if you have been around awhile---however, WHY hide your identity, especially if you wish to be believed?

Ok, so I had to look that up as I thought you just made up some BS, and sure enough, there is this crustation-looking dude with some [Despicable Me] Minion side-kick going off about how good this fancy vinyl is - in this POS left-for-dead Chrysler.I was hoping that Ricardo Montalban would have put in some Corinthian leather as well. But I can only wish.
All the old farts like me know. It was a huge TV campaign back in the day. It became a catchphrase, like when someone would purchase anything leather, one would ask, "is that real Corinthian leather"? as a joke. Those commercials gave Montalban a career resurgence. I saw him get interviewed on TV one time and he admitted that and also that the term Corinthian leather was made up by marketing.Ok, so I had to look that up as I thought you just made up some BS, and sure enough, there is this crustation-looking dude with some [Despicable Me] Minion side-kick going off about how good this fancy vinyl is - in this POS left-for-dead Chrysler.

Agreed. The quality of the switch gear was pretty much universally acclaimed by reviewers when the GV80 came out. "Clance" who posted the complaint seems to be on his own here.Whatever the metal-look stuff is really made of, they feel substantial. Definitely not a colored plastic feel.

No, it is not cheap plastic. It is a derivative of the finest crude oil in the world, refined, processed, heated and injection molded to exacting specifications. A lot of science and engineering went into making that knob. The drive mode selector is made of cheap plastic and it’s quite annoying.
Sure, at the lower end. Cruising on the highway at 60 mph, no difference. My question is, do these different drive modes actually achieve anything other than a cool look on your instrument cluster?
I know….read the owners manual
