  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

GV80 USA Build and Reserve Page

Actually that gives us hope for a few areas if it is true that the specs have not be finalized yet. That could end up resulting in a greater diversity of offerings in the near future. At least we can hope.

Hope you are right and that we get all the digital stuff that they touted in Korea, the satin colors and the massage seats up front for all, lol. I'm not sure they are handling this the right way. Not knowing doesn't make me want it more and I can say the same for my buddies who are looking at the SUV with me (10 of us by the end of the year need new cars and they are all asking me about the GV80).

Not surprised to hear any of this about the third row. It's likely the configurator is there more to gauge interest rather than be the end-all-be-all of how the vehicle will actually be spec'd. Similar to what the Tesla Cybertruck preorders are doing.

I totally agree. We are getting too wrapped up with the configuration at this point. They probably don’t even know fully what they want to do.

Good point. If that's the case too bad their marketing folks didn't design it correctly so that they could capture data on how many folks ordering the Prestige package would also want the third row :)

Why do I hear mention of an "Ultimate" package from the Raiti's Rides video? He must be referring to the Prestige package. And what color is that? Doesn't look like Cardiff Green.

I agree on the video. WAs a good one and it showed the passenger seat not having the massage function button. That's probably the answer to that question. He said it's the green, so I assume it is. My current Jag is British racing green and I was hoping to get a car that wasn't green again as the wife hates it. Hmmmm....

Since there are showing the top line in green, it looks like we won't get the satin finish in the US. That sucks as so many of us wanted that. I'm going to have to drive one before ordering one though. I also wish/hope we can get the 20" rims on the TOTL Prestige, but it doesn't look that way either, unless they change their minds.

Were all you folks who want satin paint going to wrap the whole car? You can't buff out scratches

If I purchase the car, I'll wrap the whole front end with Xpell or 3M TOTL wrap. It also doesn't show the scratches as much as clear coat. I have two very small scratches on my nearly 3yo Jag so far. I want what I want though.

You can rub out the scratches in stain paint if you use satin undies.

Do you think wrapping will take away any of the satin sheen? I imagine it has a clear coat anyway. Satin may not show blemishes as much but that is just a guess. I'm looking forward to actually seeing the finish.

Based on the net, ha ha... it won't show like gloss. the whole idea is the it scatters the light do you don't get the reflection.

You are probably correct about wrapping. I bet it won't work. The best part is that all I need to do is pull out the small power washer I have for the house and wash it down with the auto was adn wand. That's it. Keep the bugs and tar off too.
