  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Love my Genny, of course. There appears to be a human hair in the laminate of the windshield glass, of course it has to be just below eye level of the driver. There are no indents on either side of the glass. The only good thing is that the sunlight has to hit it a certain way to see it which is probably why we didn't notice it for a few weeks. Anyone ever experience anything like this? I haven't taken it to the dealer yet because I've assumed the only way to get it out is to replace the entire windshield. Any thoughts?

"Waiter, there's a fly in my soup!"

"That'll be extra for meat!"

That is a new one. Wonder how that glass passed inspection? But just like anything else, a bad one makes it through every now and then! Unfortunately, you'll probably have to replace the windshield as there is no cut/replace to a section of glass. Not yet anyway!

Most likely its a hairline crack, not an actual hair. Either way I'd try and get it warrantied while the car is still new.

I finally got Genny to the dealer. It is not a crack, there are no imperfections on either side of the glass. Of course no one's seen anything like it (so glad I could be the first)! However, they are going to replace the windshield and am I keeping my fingers crossed there aren't bigger problems when all is said and done.

Have the dealer to order you the OEM glass.

At least I'm not the only one here with a hair across my glass!
