  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a hard time seeing the Navigation screen in daylight. I have light reflecting off the screen, and the display is not bright enough. I have tried Daylight display as well as Auto display. Are there other settings I could use. How have you overcome this issue, assuming you have experienced the same problem?

The map display with the white back ground works okay for me even in the brightest day light, but what I'm having difficulty reading is the mp3/CD/DVD playlist with the black background.
Nothing much I can do about it, I guess.

I just picked up my car and Friday, and had the same issue. If you did not know, you can increase the day time screen brightness in the settings menu. I bumped mine all the way up. That helped quite a bit.

I've noticed the same and wondered if a Sun shade hood is available. Also thought about trying a thin anti glare lcd screen.

I was considering a clear film that is pre-cut for the Genesis on Ebay, but I noticed that the glare wasn't a problem after I tinted my windows. Possibly something to look into.

I also increased the brightness from the settings menu.

Has anybody tried this anti-glare film. I've often thought about adding some sort of protection from scratches for this screen as this may kill two birds with one stroke!

The navigation screen can also be hard to see if you're wearing polarized sunglasses.
