  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Has anyone used the Auto Butler protection coating system?

I just purchased my 2011 White Satin Pearl V8 Genny. She's beautiful and I want to keep her that way.

My dealer offers a paint protection service called Auto Butler, which they didn't even try to sell me. Before I left, I asked them about it and they showed me a video from the Auto Butler website. It's pretty intriguing, but I'm also not a paint protection expert and can't really validate their claims.

Has anyone else used this service, which is a compound that's applied every six months for five years? If so, what are your thoughts?

If you haven't used it, but are knowledge about waxing, claying, etc., what do you think about their claims comparing their process versus traditional waxing?

Most of these types of services are not worth the money. They are very high profit items for dealers and many of these type of companies seem to go out of business quite often. A good clay cleanup and wax will do the trick for you just remember to wax often about every 2 to 6 monthes. Oh I used to work at car dealerships for many years and this is what I had found out while working in the auto industry.

Only a donkey would buy that product.
