  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi guys,

I received letter today from HATCI (Hyundai-Kia America Technical Center). See attached PDF file. It is only one hour drive from me. Should I reply that I am interested?

The only thing that is not eligible for this testing program is that I have less than 50,000 miles on my Genesis.

That is pretty cool!

But you're not eligible so what are you asking?

There is always a chance in this life.

Let's say you live in LA and you get this letter. You reply that you are interested and Hyundai tells you to come over. Would you drive from LA to Michigan 2,281.3 miles for 32 hours (non stop), and then the same amount and time back to LA? And do this two times. I am 99.9% sure that you will ignore this letter.

I am actually 30 miles and 30 minutes away from their center. So my chance is that they may not find car or enough cars and may waive mileage requirement for me and invite me anyway. So I was asking for advice if I should go if this scenario happens. And I should've posted this thought in my original post to avoid confusion.

EDIT.

And there is a third paper, form with information of my car and my personal infomation, that I didn't scan into PDF file. I have to fill in the form, specify if I am interested or not, and return this form back to Hyundai.
