Haunted Trunk Lid

Hello dear friends! I have a '13 Genesis sedan which has decided to open its trunk lid, all by itself, every now and then. Not always, but far too often. And when it does it runs down my battery. And I'm getting tried of calling AAA. Local dealer replaced latch. No luck. Still haunting me. Suggestions?

The related issue of "Windows going up and down on their own" due to water intrusion is a thing.

Remove the driver's door panel and inspect the trunk button switch, plugs, and wiring for for water intrusion. Repair/ replace water protection materials and install drip loop in the wiring harness as needed. A bit of dielectric grease on the plug might not hurt if the pins are in good condition.
