  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I was treated to the lovely sounds of r2dr and C3PO coming from my favorite morning show station during the commute.

It seems as though the HD was having some trouble with the marine layer and was having some issues. Has anyone had this problem before?

I changed stations at it continued then cleared.

I "ticked" off the "HD" to turn it off and the abnormality remained until I changed stations.

HD radio is even more susceptable to atmospherics than a regular FM signal. If the HD signal is interrupted at all, all audio will be lost; if an analog signal experiences problems, you get static but you can still hear the audio broadcast (depending on how bad the audio problem is).

Please note that "HD" does NOT stand for High Def. Its just a name. (Just like XM is just a name unlike AM or FM which does have meaning).

Right, Bob, the "HD" in HD Radio stands for Hybrid Digital.

I wish terrestrial radio was better.... the HD sounds very good and clear. But the commercials.....
