  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Didn't think that was possible...

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
This isn't really possible, the head unit and touch screen are separate, and the touch screen's cavity is too shallow for even a thin head unit (not to mention you would lose all the car-specific features with an aftermarket system).

If you have the 9.2" Ultimate, there is a thread about potentially modifying the 2018-19 G80 software to work with it (giving android auto/carplay), though it's still a work-in-progress.

The 2017 - On Head Unit will fit the existing wiring but it will require swapping out the amp for a newer one of the same vintage as well. Apparently, the CAN bus is looking for it. The newer amp also requires some wiring mods.

As far as I know, no one has tried messing with the software solution for quite some time.
