  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I want to replace my head unit but I couldn’t find it on the parts website.

Recently been experiencing a buggy glitch where the infotainment screen and system restarts every 1-2 minutes while driving.

To fix this I disconnected the battery and left it to sit overnight. While it was sitting I also had removed the 3 audio fuses. It worked just fine until a month later and here I write to tell y’all it’s doing it’s thing again.

Where do I go to get a replacement head unit

I got mine on eBay. Was salvaged from a vehicle that had been in an accident. Came in the mail, replaced the old one with the new one, then realized my issue was the amplifier. Here's some advice: once you do find a head unit (it took a while for one to pop up), get one with a return policy.

Have an extra 9.2" head unit for 15-17 g80's- if it were compatible, I would have gladly sent you mine.

I'm not that familiar with the 1st gen Sedan's, but some certain model years share parts on the newer cars; i.e. 2015-2017 cars will have the same part number, 2018-2020, etc. Try typing different model years of your car in the search bar until something pops up.

Good luck on your search!

Thanks for the advice. Think I’m going to start by making sure the wires are secured in the pins properly
