  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey People,

I wanted to know has anyone ever removed the headlamp assembly from the sedan models? If so... Does the bumper cover has to be removed? Help me out... Switching to the Prada lights

I've read both stories. A guy on here (can't remember who) stated the the bumper needed to come off. But I've also read that it does not need to come off. I'll be removing them soon here. If somebody doesn't post a DIY, I'll do one.

Please do. Normally I am pretty good with this type of stuff but they really crammed them in there.

Yes, the bumper cover needs to be removed. It is a PITA, but if you have time and patience, you could DIY. I have neither, so I had my local dealership remove it for me. Installing it back on was a whole lot easier to DIY. Aloha.

Anybody have/see a DIY for bumper removal?

I certainly don't own one. Not sure how many others would. Can you post the screen shots of it?

Certainly, I have it in digital format. I don't remember where I got it but I am glad I found it.

And here is page 745 of the Body Electrical section.

BTW, this manual is 5,384 pages long, not including covers and index.

I would be willing to seed it to someone who would host it. I never got into hosting, and would rather not become responsible for hosting such an item.

PM me and I can p2p it somehow, i believe the program is about 156MB .rar

I had all the bulbs replaced at the dealership so I didn't have to mess with it or potentially damage something, they charged me $60 and it took about an hour. The technician removed the bumper to access the head lamps.

The engineer that came up with that solution should be stripped of any credentials and shot. When replacing a $3 bulb requires a 1 hour service charge because 11 bumper panels have to be removed, then we have lost the meaning of "engineering".

When I got my Prada Lights installed, I just had the dealership do it for me. I think they charged like $85 dollars or something. I'd rather them do it then me since I am not that handy with things like that lol.

I would totally agree. I don't know of any modern car that you don't have to pull the bumper off to get the headlight assembly out. My last vehicle from 2002 didn't even require tools to get the headlight assembly out! Just a couple pins you loosened and they came right out. Modern cats have become infinity more complex or seems.
