  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Headlight Condensation

Picked up the car and all they could do was pat themselves on the back for getting it changed. Their comment was, that thing is worth $1500, no wonder they are so reluctant to swap it out. Good thing the engine is ok, imagine the cost of that!

Worth vs Price.

Well it has been little while since the new headlight was installed and I am pleased to report it is just as dry as the other side. Problem solved.:D

Excellent - too bad you had to push so hard to get it. I think thats the Hyundai service department way...

For whatever it's worth, I have a minor amount of moisture in the driver-side headlight housing. My dealer's service manager said that he replaced both assemblies on another genesis ($800) and they also showed condensation.

$800 sounds about right in the States. Here in Canada we get soaked but that does not bother me since I just have everything delivered from the States. Good example is some trim apliques for my wife's nissan Cube. At the dealer here they want $399 + 15% tax. Got them delivered to my door from a Nissan dealer on line in Texas for $172 and no tax. No sense even pricing stuff out up here as it is ridiculous in comparison. Bet you the dealer would charge $1000 to do the wing emblem deal up here.

I just had a bumper repair on my 2022 G70 where the dealer had to remove the bumper, when I got home I noticed water in the headlights, I can clearly see seals on the side and bottom but none on top of the lamps. When I called the dealer back, they told me it was a known issue and seals are only on the sides, I would have to bring the car back showing water in the headlights before they could repair it, of course they are dry now. Can anyone verify for me if there are rubber seals on top of the lights, or none at all? Thanks! I think they neglected to put the seals back.
