  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Greetings new Genesis owner here I just purchased my used 2015 Genesis and when driving into my parking garage I noticed my drivers side headlight looked a bit purplish and pink. and it was not as bright as the passenger side. Now it appears to be really dim but still working without the strange color. My question is has anyone else seen this and do you think it is a bulb or could it be something else. This is the first car I have had with the HID headlights so im not sure where to start and quick call to the dealership let me know i do not want to purchase from the dealer. They recommended replacing the ballast and bulb for 800 and change.

Writing from Canada...I had the same issue... got only the bulb replaced. I drove the car for about a year before the light emitted because "too dim".

Major issue is the labour - time remove the casing etc. Was fortunate to only pay $250 parts/labour thanks to my dealership respecting an initial quote for the service.

Thank you for the feedback ordered the Osram they are in my garage now and just went to swap them out and I cannot figure out how to get the bulb out will look for a how to. I found one video on the web but once they get to the good part the video ends.

I recommend pulling both headlights out.. replacing the bulbs and THEN flipping the headlight assembly upside down unscrewing the smaller cap that contains wiring for the LED headlight strip... moving the brown cable over one place to the right put everything back after testing and then enjoying your new HID's and your brighter LEDS

Is there an article or pics of what to do?

I have a 2015 3.8 HTRAC I'm currently running Michelin Tires Pilot Sport All Season 4. Over the last couple of months I have noticed what seems like a soft suspension. I had it checked and everything checked out ok. But it seems to be getting worse. By my house we have an HOV that has some uneven areas and at 80MPH the front seems to absorb it ok but the ass end feels loose up and down as well as side to side. It will settle down quickly but for second or too if feels very unsettled. Curious if anyone else has had this issue and found a culprit.

what would moving the wire over do? is it a weak point?

It would make your white LED strip very bright like DRL in the newer model. The downside of this is that when you turn on your headlights, the LED remains bright and it doesn't look good at night. It is too bright. If you want to do it the right way, you can check out my tutorial: 2015 Genesis LED strip as bright DRL instead of amber
